Gender bias in job market
After graduating from university, many students flux into the job market in order to get a satisfied job, numerous female job-hunter have failed, however, although they may have more superiors than male. The job market always filled by such sentences like this: male first, no female or only for male, and I get the strong feeling of that it is so unequal for female.
This is supposed to be an enlightened age, which women have the opportunities as men. A great deal of women, however, can not get a job after finishing their education. According to my understanding, there may be 2 reasons about the gender bias in job-hunting.
For one thing, in some nations , which even the most progressive societies, women continue to be regarded as second-rate citizens. Men incline to consider that women belong to another space. For instance, the same tried jokes about women drivers are repeated day in, day out. But in fact, women cause far fewer accidents than men. They are too conscientious and responsible to drive like maniacs.
The second, which is considered to be the most important, is that men go on maintaining the fiction that there are many jobs women can not do. Top-level political negotiation between countries, business and banking are almost entirely controlled by men, who jealously guard their so-called rights. I hold the point that the essential point of this issue is that men are afraid of they may be displaced by women who have better job skills and abilities. Male want to refrain from the real competition.
Gender bias is a so big problem that I do not know how to solute it. But I think that the government can announce that no companies can write such sentences as no female or only for male on their table which is for job-hunters.
